Christmas

Hi Everyone,

Well that's Christmas over with! I have to say I've been a tad on the naughty side when it comes to food (but then again who hasn't). However, I haven't been anywhere near as naughty as I normally would. Christmas would normally mean for me; eating a LOT of chocolate, biscuits, cheese, potatoes roasted in goose fat, turkey skin, pork crackling and the list goes on (does any of this sound familiar?)

This year was slightly different. Yes I still had chocolate, cheese, biscuits and some turkey skin and crackling (I'm only human and seeing it and smelling it was too much of a temptation for me at this stage of my health "recovery") but the amount I had was greatly reduced. My Christmas dinner was loaded with veg (I love sprouts anyway so they made up the majority) and the potatoes where done in the actifryer (only 1 tablespoon of oil for everyone's, I seriously suggest anyone who loves spuds gets one). I didn't raid the chocolate tin at every opportunity instead I picked at the left over turkey! Small changes, I know, but I feel like I've made real progress this year.

The other thing being my presents. Normally I would ask for computer games or sweets etc. This year I got exercise equipment i.e. new running gear, weights bench and weights! I also got vouchers for clothes shops so I can replace the clothes that are now too big for me so I can throw them out (no clothes to fit back into should I put weight on again!). I'm not being a pessimist by saying that as I truly believe I have changed for good this time which is why I'm getting rid of my "fat" clothes this time.

Anyway, hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and New Year and here's to a wonderful, healthy 2013
