I can honestly say the last couple of months have been a major struggle! I've struggled to keep focused on my goals.
I fell into the trap of having one little treat, which became another and another!
Even though I continued to lose small amounts of weight at the weigh ins I wasn't feeling good.
Then a few weeks ago we had a tough training session with Dave and it felt like I was starting all over again. This is what happens when you put lots of processed foods in your body! After the session we had a good chat about the situation and it was enough of a shock to re-focus me!
Since then I have been fully focused on my goals and feel fantastic. I take part in the Redcar Park Run every Saturday morning (it is a 5k run around Locke Park) and have knocked over a minute off my personal best time in the last 2 weeks.
I read a good analogy regarding food which is so true. If you think of your body like a car engine, the food you put in your body is equivalent to the petrol you put in your car. Put poor quality petrol in and the car will not perform well. Eat poor quality (processed) food and your body will not perform well!!! There is no substitution for good, natural, lean foods.
